Andalucian Classic Tour
In June 2023 we organised the Andalucian Classic Tour in order to avoid the noise, bustle and crowds due to the Annual Fiesta in our village of Velez de Benaudalla, but due to popular demand we have now decided to include this popular tour to our full program of tours, so anyone can enjoy this unique tour all year round.
So the tour includes airport transfers, 4 days guided touring, Motorcycle rental, insurance and 5 nights accommodation and focuses on riding some of the best roads in Spain.
We travel through many natural parks such as the Sierra Nevada, Sierra María-Los Vélez, Sierra Cazorla and the last truly wild coast of Cabo de Gata in the Nijar Natural Park, which is tucked into the south-eastern corner of Spain and lies one of the few remaining unspoiled stretches of the Mediterranean coast. Also, you will venture into the Desierto de Tabernas which is Europe's only desert and riding one of the best motorcycling roads ever at Alto de Velefique, before returning to our guesthouse in Velez de Benaudalla for our final nights accommodation.
So the itinerary for 2024 will be as follows :-
June 10th. Airport transfer and check-in with accommodation at the Guesthouse
June 11th. Tour & accommodation at Cazorla
Leaving Velez we head east towards Ohanes before beginning our ascent over the Sierra Nevada and then dropping down into the town of Alba, then entering the Parque Natural Sierra de Baza passing lakes and wonderful scenery as we make our way and ascend to the spectacular town of Quesada before making our way to the hotel in the town of Cazorla located in the Sierras de Cazorla.
June 12th. Tour & accommodation at Velez Blanco
Leaving Cazorla we proceed to ride into the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park which is Spain's largest National Park, for some of the best riding you can experience and amazing scenery before heading south into the Sierra de Castril Natural Park towards Orce, where we discover a landscape that would not be out of place in Utah in the USA with it's seemingly never ending straight deserted roads as we head to our hotel in the beautiful town of Velez Blanco.
June 13th. Tour & accommodation at San Jose
After leaving Velez Blanco we head south towards Albox as we wind through the fertile lands and forests of Eastern Andalucia, heading to Cabo de Gata and exploring some of this wonderful region with it's desert landscape. Also visiting the lighthouse at Faro de Cabo de Gata, the picturesque villages of San Jose and La Isleta del Moro etc. before proceeding to our overnight accommodation.
June 14th. Tour & accommodation at our Guesthouse in Velez
Leaving our overnight accommodation we proceed northeast towards Almeria before turning north and heading into the Desierto de Tabernas which is Europe's only desert before stopping for lunch. We then proceed to Alto Velefique and riding along what can only be described as one of the best motorcycling roads ever. Then we begin our descent towards Gérgal and over the beautiful Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada before heading back to Velez.
June 15th. Airport transfer and check-out
Please be aware that this is a true adventure tour on tarmac roads and consists of 4 days riding and each day will be approximately 250 km and 5 to 6 hours riding with plenty of stops for coffee, lunch and of course photo opportunities.
Cost of Tour 1570 € per person
Cost of Tour 1770 € with pillion
